Dynasty Garden - Modesto

Sad to learn that the meatless options at Dynasty have egg in the batter, the chowmein noodles also have egg in them. Just went to pick up my online order and was told this by an employee.

Asked if the fried rice would not have eggs and bits of ham if ordering vegetable version. Also asked if their orange meatless chicken was fried in egg batter and they would not specify.

Wish I could give this place 3.5 stars, but we'll go with 4. There's a lot of vegan options. Chow main and rice are just ok. Vegan options include Meatless orange chicken, veggie deluxe, tofu salad. The staff has even been nice though to make alterations/special orders like veggie friend rice w/ no egg and pan fried tofu. It does depends on who takes my order, honestly, I think some workers are more informed on veggie options than others. Food is ready pretty quickly and I've never had them make an order wrong, so far at least. They do give you a side of an egg flavored soup (I think), I tell them I don't want it but they almost always put it in the bag anyway. I'll confirm with them next time, to check what it comes with.

Staff was rude after I asked what on their menu was vegan,, then she continued to tell me that the custard (which if you don’t know is made out of sugar, milk, and egg) was vegan and didn’t know if it was made with dairy. Very disappointed in my trip here, very unpleasant waste of time.

For vegan choices, they have meatless orange chicken, veggie deluxe, and tofu salad. The staff are accommodating and willing to make modifications, such as preparing veggie fried rice without egg and pan-roasted tofu. It’s a bit inconsistent depending on who takes my order; some employees seem more knowledgeable about the vegetarian options than others. The food is usually ready quickly, and I haven’t had any major issues so far. They always include a cup of what I assume is egg drop soup, even though I tell them I don’t want it, and it usually ends up in the bag anyway. I’ll make sure to confirm what it is during my next visit.
