Memo’s Cocina Tequila - Modesto

Memos is a subpar restaurant that lacks proper management. I will ensure that my friends and followers on social media never visit this place. The staff are impolite and incompetent.

We only had drinks and appetizers, but we had a great time at this restaurant. Although we had eaten at another restaurant earlier, my friend and I were excited to try this place since it had just opened. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and I can't wait to come back to try their food. The chips and salsa were delicious, with crisp and perfectly salty chips. I started with the Pura Vida margarita, made with coconut water, tequila, lime juice, and a sugared rim. It was fantastic and I considered ordering another, but instead decided to be adventurous and try a tequila flight. My friend helped me finish it!

I will not return to this restaurant. The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. I also tried the Mexi-Tini three times and each time it was made differently and appeared smaller. Not worth the time or money.

I was really excited to try this place because it looked very trendy with a great ambience. The bar is beautiful and drinks are good! However, we were sadly let down as the food was not good at all. Completely non-authentic Mexican food. The meat was unbelievably dry, sauce on enchiladas has no taste. Salsa tasted store bought. Don’t think I’ll be returning unless it’s solely for a few drinks at the bar. Our bus boy was awesome and much more helpful than the server. This place has great potential so I hope they re-evaluate the menu and food supply soon to turn things around.
