Michael's Pizza And Grill - Modesto

The music set the perfect ambiance, featuring catchy one-hit wonders from the 80s and early 90s that made me want to return. It strikes a balance between a cozy dive bar and a more upscale dining experience, as they clearly emphasize being a restaurant first, with drinks and tunes as added bonuses. This is evident in their wait-to-be-seated policy, which helps establish the restaurant vibe right away. If they were to add a pool table or a dartboard, I wouldn't be surprised if Guy Fieri showed up to feature them on the next episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

The food is always excellent! When they're busy, the service can be a bit slow, but the waitress keeps you updated on the status of your order. It's definitely worth the wait!

I have had the pleasure of dining at Michael's about 5-6 times over the past two years. Each visit has left me very satisfied with both the food and drink options. Whether it’s breakfast or brunch, the selections never fail to impress in terms of taste and portion sizes. Their bottomless mimosas are a delightful treat, and the service has always been courteous, warm, and welcoming. It's no surprise that our group of friends often suggests Michael's for celebrations, as the food, staff, and atmosphere consistently embody that festive spirit. It’s also worth mentioning that their drinks are generously poured and expertly mixed. We look forward to seeing continued community support for this wonderful establishment in the coming years.

I understand that I called at 7:49 to place one order of pizza for take out when they close at 8 but I would not be ok with declining orders before we even close the doors if I was the owner of the business. I would recommend posting ?No orders after time?!!!

Excellent pizza. The crust in particular is truly fantastic, fresh, crunchy and sweet in just the right amounts. Lots of delicious cheese and savory toppings. The service was average at best, with long waits between check ins, drink refills, gettingboxes, and receiving a check--despite there being only three other full tables in the place and with at least 3 waitstaff on waythe time. The pizza is worth it, though.
