We have tried veggie restaurants all over the world ourselves and also brought lots of friends with expertise to Alge, all of us like Alge the best. Every course...is a small wonder in itself with incredible variation and love for detail, the taste is absolutely amazing. We love it, despite not even being vegan and so do all of our friends who have tried it so far. It is not at all like a regular restaurant or a sandwich bar, but more like a journey through countless previously unknown tastes and creative servings, perfected by the cook (the artist) David. Take your time to get to know Alge and you will find a whole new world of wonderful food and culinary knowledge. We are delighted with it and will come back many times.
We were here for the first time last week and it won't have been the last time. here you will find creative vegan cuisine at the highest level to express fair trips. you do not have the feeling to sit in a restaurant, but to let a cuddly lovingly furnished living room be cooked by a person who burns for his passion and takes his artistic compositions to explain himself despite the small personal key. in any case, you should order the menu and simply get in touch with it. Here vegan and omnis are equally happy. for at the end, there is only good and bad eating. my omnivore had no time to miss the feeling. thanks also for the mut so something in my hometown mönchengladbach to put on the legs!
We booked for dinner on Saturday had a a truly wonderful, vibrantly colored, generous, memorable, healthy 3-course meal. Friendly service affordable prices. Between us we could try everything on the summer farm menu. Everything tasted so good, the hemp-orange dressing, the olive oil...mashed potato, the mushrooms that had been cut from the chef's own land in the morning, dehydrated and then served over the quinoa courgette risotto in the evening by the enthusiastic, passionate visionary Chef David Rütten, who explained the ingredients beautifully to us. Evidently a lot of hard work love goes into the preparation of the food here, we appreciated it, a truly refreshing restaurant. Don't miss the handmade chocolates at the end of the meal! Delicious. We only wish we lived closer so that we could go again again. Open a restaurant in Belgium please!
Hello everyone, I have to say I am a carnivore, I love meat, steaks, hamburgers, seafood... the rest of the foods are just side dishes for me. So when I was invited to a vegetarian restaurant by some friends in Germany I accepted hesitantly. They've...told me it is a fine dinning experience, a 5 course meal during two hours and that I would love it. So I joined them and I have to say it, they were completely right. I did not expect to enjoy every dish, I went there with my expectations set not very high, but I was blown away by the combination of tastes, textures, the attention to details, a very dedicated chef that explained every dish (and he spoke English as well . So, a good vegetarian restaurant can compete (and even win with a meat restaurant, it is all in the skill and the dedication of the chef. It is not cheap, but I think it is worth it. For me, it completely changed my mind about avoiding a vegetarian place just because it is vegetarian. Good job! I will definitely return :
Innovative, kreatiw and a taste-expolation that is the best eating in a distance and the chef is reinvented almost every month. updated from previous review on 2020-03-10
