Wellings Hotel zur Linde - Moers

The hotel has modern rooms with balcony and bathroom. I always demand those who are well ordered. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the bathroom is equipped with good bath salts every evening. The restaurant is divine. We had the duck special and none of us had leftovers. It is a special treat every year. The complementary breakfast is also very nice. I just wish they had coffee in the rooms.

A very good restaurant, traditional German dishes, perfectly prepared with fresh ingredients. A good selection of beer and wine. Friendly and professional service.

Very typical German food served efficiently and in a very nice and peculiar location. Quality is very good, I recommend the goose, but it is as heavy as it seems. Good selection of wines but I enjoyed the beer as well. Prices on the average/high.

Sorry to say that this restaurant did not strike us. Ambience is nice but for the rather steep prices the quality and taste of the entrees are way below average. We ordered the tuna and the monkfish with scallops. Both dishes had exactly the same...sides and sauce. They ran out of scallops, so we agreed on more fish instead of the scallops. Both entrees tasted bland and unimaginative whereas the price was rather ambitious. Service was slow. It took them several minutes for our drinks. On the other hand they tried to impress us with some nonsense silver toque. There are better options. Will not return.

We were here the weekend. Great hotel, tasteful ambience, the wellness area very nice, the kitchen simply the hammer, nice staff ..we felt like at home ..we come back.
