Very traditional pub, nice food with good portions and good atmosphere. Visited during the day not long after pubs reopened. Nice staff and big garden area which is good. Loved seeing the dog too!
Fantastic sausages and maic absolutely tasty and much better than the old house up the street-friendly personal beautiful local fun and friendly staff this pub has everything I'm looking for and I'll continue to come here:
Upon entering this pub, I was immediately greeted by some very friendly dogs, which was amazing. While the menu wasn't very diverse, it didn't matter because the atmosphere of the pub was so welcoming and pleasant. The locals playing cards seemed to be having a great time, and I felt like a part of the community. The seating area in the back of the pub was worth checking out, and the female staff was lovely - hardworking and friendly. I tried the chicken Caesar salad, which was delicious, especially with the added celery that the chef recommended. The pub is very dog-friendly, allowing dogs to roam around freely. The overall atmosphere was fantastic, with friendly people and great food. We returned recently and were once again very satisfied, even though it was crowded and we had to sit at the bar for our meal. This didn't bother us at all, as it was nice to see so many people bringing their dogs to the pub. The dogger burgers also looked tempting.
The interior of the pub is lovely, with a bar situated in the middle surrounded by tables for easy access. I only wish we had spotted the mascot this time! However, we saw the dog from our previous visit, who is both adorable and massive. The food was fantastic, especially the Sunday roast we ordered - it did not disappoint!
