Ok Do you need to be a cyclist or perhaps a walker to appreciate this place. Coffee and cakes at very reasonable prices and an open fire to die for after 25 miles of cycling in the bitter cold. Ignore the basic facilities and enjoy the ambience and the coffee. A must if you are in the area.
It is so rare to find a genuine bike shop these days ran by knowledgeable and extremely helpful Dave. They only stock good quality and so you know that you are in for long lasting workmanship with anything you buy there. a specialist in touring bikes this is a 5* shop!
I needed urgent help with my bike and was efficiently helped with professionalism, calmness and an obvious knowledge. I have a very basic bike knowledge and I didn’t feel patronised either which can happen elsewhere at times. Thoroughly recommended.
This is truly one of the best cycle repair shops I have been to (and I recently toured the UK for 7,000 miles). The owner fixed a problem that had plagued me and stumped so called 'experts ' throughout the country. This is not one of the 'chain ' repair places; the owner has a genuine love for cycles and is always price conscious about the cost of repairs. If you go there for food you need to accept that it 's run by two people at times only one is there and while they do their best, it 's hard to stop when you 're in the middle of a complicated repair. It 's a lovely, quirky place in an excellent location, not a five star restaurant!
