Not only are the staff super friendly and thoughtful, but they probably have the best masala chips this side of the Sahara has to offer. I'm a regular here and they treat me as such, they anticipate my needs even before I enter. Last time I went with my daughter and the high chair was already set up. They also were able to offer suggestions and make an off menu meal appropriate for a 9 month old. I also love the location and ambience. Very airy and well decorated.
Very Friendly staff Amazing food Good seating The prices could be a bit better but the taste makes up for it Great date spot especially with the cinema around the corner
Had lunch at this Cafe today. Both food and service was great. The veg burger was good. Had the chocolate cake for desert with Masala tea. Overall a great place to have lunch on the outside patio.
Cafe Mocha is a bistro/patisserie style eatery (albeit NOT a cheap one), conveniently located right next to the only cinema in Mombasa town- Nyali cinemax. The fare largely consists of Italian crust vegetarian pizzas, chips (a variety of 3 or 4,the peri-peri is my favourite), cakes (mostly of a chocolate orientation),sandwiches, a range of vegetarian snacks (go samosas and spring rolls), signature drinks (a lot of Sprite and sugar is involved) and a newly revamped breakfast menu that now includes waffle treats. They don't mess around with meat at Cafe mocha, it's all about the veggies! While I go there regularly (because I enjoy a number of staples and the sheer convenience of the place),I have always been and continue to be put off by the attitude of the proprietors towards their staff (who are very pleasant and helpful btw) and their customers. They come off as rude, standoffish and absolutely nonchalant towards the patronage they receive, EXCEPT, in my observation towards their own ethnic group. As a breakfast and light meals option within Mombasa, it is one of the very few places that is open from early morning to late evening, convenient, well located and has a reasonably good selection to order from.
Dashed in for a drink. Lots of baked goods lined up and looking very appealing. However, Very odd vibes from the servers, not very friendly, borderline bored. Something was off. Anyhoo, this is a purely vegetarian cafe so heads-up carnivores!
