The menu offers everything from frozen and dried pastas to dips, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, and biscuits. One of my favorite items to indulge in is the olive Ciabatta bread loaves - they are addictive, with a fluffy, cushiony interior and a chewy, dense, slightly crunchy exterior. When lightly toasted, this bread is heavenly when dipped in olive oil or paired with cheeses and cold cuts. I always grab one to enjoy on the go, as it never lasts long once I leave the restaurant. The Pancetta is another standout item, perfect for grilling or frying with pasta or chicken dishes. It has just the right amount of fat and is seasoned with grains of cracked pepper that burst with flavor in your mouth. The cheese selection is excellent, and the sweet treats are irresistible. I've heard great things about the Grandmother ham and can't wait to try it soon! The coffee is exceptional, made with Melba beans that provide a full-bodied flavor and a smooth finish. The service is top-notch, with friendly and cheerful staff who know the locals by name. It's a pleasure to shop for high-quality products in such a happy and down-to-earth environment.
The coffee at this restaurant is wonderful, as is the venue itself. We really enjoy the Deli vibe and decor. It's no surprise, considering it is a Deli! They serve award winning Melba organic coffee and really know their stuff. Deli'sh has always been a popular spot over the years, and we love stopping by to check out their fantastic cheese selection.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover a well-stocked Continental deli in the main shopping area of Mt. Waverley. Delish offers a variety of gourmet items that you would typically find in more upscale areas, rather than in modest Mt. Waverley. They have limited seating both inside and outside for enjoying coffee, cakes, and toasted sandwiches. Delish is popular among locals, so it took us three visits to finally secure a table. One of the highlights of Delish is their Grandmother's ham, which is made with just pork and salt, without any added nitrates or water. I purchased some along with an olive loaf for a quick lunch, which was delicious with a generous spread of whole egg mayo. The olive loaf was also tasty, especially when paired with the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar that I bought from the deli. The packaging for the Grandmother's ham was charming. On our second visit, we couldn't get a table so we opted for some takeaway cakes. The vanilla slice was rich and custardy, with flaky pastry, while the lemon meringue was visually appealing and pleasantly tangy, although a bit too sweet for my taste. Finally, on our third visit, we arrived early enough to enjoy breakfast at Delish. The cheese and ham toastie was simple yet satisfying, accompanied by tea, coffee, and the morning paper. The English breakfast tea was a perfect complement to our meal.
The coffee is done exactly as I like it. the service is very professional with smiles and their fresh made sandwiches are the best.
