We have here a few times after shopping and I think this will be the last time. services: terrible, they just throw their food on the table in a hurry by simply dropping the food on the sauce bowls and not even...butter to not even move it on them when they serve and simply left. the bad service we had ever had experience not to return food ok: not cheap nothing. too expensive for quality
We started with a Shanghai sour cocktail for her and a Tiger beer for me. The food all came out at once, as expected, and was initially very hot. The crawfish and leek dumplings, sesame seed pudding toast, prawn dumplings, and early rolling were all delicious and the perfect amount for both of us. We paired our meal with a bottle of Mount McLeod Chardonnay, which complemented the food well. The service was minimal, as the staff simply brought the dishes to the table with a smile. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would return to New Shanghai if we ever find ourselves back at Chadstone.
My family and I went to this restaurant for lunch and were surprised by the new ordering system - we had to scan a card on the table, order online, and pay. Some items were out of stock, but we were able to try most of the things we wanted. The food was okay, but portions seemed a bit small. The service was minimal, with cashiers coming to the table to take orders, making it hard to get their attention for water or utensils. I tried the American garlic rib, which was mediocre. It was odd to find an "American" dish in a Chinese restaurant. Overall, it was an interesting culinary experience, but I probably won't be returning.
A busy and very efficiently managed place. Spacious and clean. Service is very good; however, staff is not necessarily friendly. The menu offers diversity and the food is very good, typical of Vietnam.
