We are locals spending a weekend in Monchique and our friends suggested we ate at Malhada Quente and we loved it. Local portuguese restaurant, simple decor and great food! There is an open grill and the meat is fantastic, we had pork ribs and assadura (traditional meat dish from Monchique) and it was very tasty. The staff is very friendly. They have a nice terrace and the restaurant is very clean. Hope to come back soon.

We stopped here for lunch while on an off road tour around the monchique area with Johnny May, he recommended the piri piri chicken, it didn't disappoint, lovely salad and wine to accompany it, definitely worth a try if your in the area
