I cannot stand cilantro which was listed as an ingredient with the Thai Curry Grain Bowl, but because everything is prepared fresh it wasn 't an issue. The lentil meatballs were just a wonderful protein addition as well. The aesthetic if the place (inside, front, back) is phenomenal as well with just a lovely ambiance. Great place, I will definitely be going back!
Forage Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants in the area! The food is always fresh, healthy, and delicious, and they have unique combinations you can't find elsewhere. My favs are the Power Bowl, Cashew Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl, but I haven't been disappointed in anything I've tried there. Definitely check them out!
I?ve heard soo many wonderful things about Forage on Monona, but unfortunately the customer service was awful. This was my first time ever trying Forage and I wasn?t knowledgeable about everything they had to offer, so of course I had a few questions regarding the food, especially considering I have food allergies. The staff acted as if this was high school, and were making faces when I asked questions, again THIS IS MY FIRST TIME. Then they proceeded to act as if I was pestering them, and treated me in a unfavorable manor. The whole experience was just intimidating, stressful and I?m extremely disheartened with everything. Maybe there needs to be a diversity inclusion provided for this location.
I usually get the local roots salad, which I love. Unfortunately i feel like the serving size was really small this time, only filling like half the bowl. Maybe this is standard though? I would suggest adding extra toppings, which are like .50 each, if ordering online.
Pretty good food and has an outdoor seating area. I think they have room for growth with food selections because I felt the choices were limited compared to other similar restaurants like this in town. The bowls we ordered were good though. I have to say though the A/C was a bit of a turn off because it was freezing inside. We were grateful for the patio. The patio also opens up to the water and other businesses/activities of sorts, kind of making it a small community or gathering area. Yet the patio was separate if you didn't want to wander further.
