Lichee Gardens Monroe

Don't let the hole in the front door deter you from visiting this place. It serves the best Chinese food I've ever tasted! Everything is freshly cooked to order, and the flavors and quality are fantastic—plus, the portion sizes are generous! The prices are great too. I paid just $8.50 for the Sweet and Sour Chicken Combo, which was excellent!

The Wong family are truly wonderful people who create delicious dishes. During my two years living in San Francisco, I found that their food could stand up to any Chinese cuisine in the city. They also offer some fantastic specialty items. Give it a try; you won't regret it!

My favorite Asian restaurant anywhere, not just in Monroe, without a doubt! As another reviewer mentioned, it's the benchmark against which all other Asian cuisine has been compared since my childhood. The Almond Chicken is out of this world—I could eat it every day. Dive in, and you’ll discover the most simple yet perfect chicken noodle soup you could ever have. Give this place a try; they’ve been a staple in downtown for a reason!
