Simply Jerk Jamaican Grill - Monroe

I'm so glad I decided to try Jerk! I ordered the curry chicken and shrimp combo, and I also sampled the jerk chicken wings. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious! It wasn't too spicy, and I'm not sure if they can turn it up if you ask. For me, it was just perfect. I will definitely be returning!

This restaurant has nothing to do with authentic Jamaican cuisine. Coming from Brooklyn, we know what to expect. The lack of oxtail and brown stew chicken was a major red flag. We decided to give it a try anyway, but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. The chicken was just standard grilled chicken with a flavored sauce, and the curry chicken barely had any flavor at all. Don't waste your money here, and don't let the positive reviews mislead you.

I'm not sure if it's due to inflation or something else, but dining here is quite pricey. I'm referring to around $7 or $8 for just a patty, a drink, and a small dessert. While the food tastes good, it feels like you're paying too much for what you receive.

I read a few reviews to decide 2 go 2 this plus. I had mixed feelings not seen stew chicken, or goat on the menu. Anyway, I am sad to say, but these bad reviews were right. food jad absolutely no taste...I knew when I opened it, saw the texture of tha rice, boneless chicken; what dry was dry was gonna upset Me....I hate donationin money, gettin full of bs. not authentic at all! I have eatin this kind of eating since a juvenile, this is not it. if I really store this, or leave witness when I am finished. look at the plate after the left....Not to mention, she was hustle....Waste of money! I was excited to have a Caribbean restaurant nearby and on my first visit saw a couple of customers who were of Caribbean descent which got my hopes even higher. Unfortunately the food and service didn’t live up to the initial impressions. My sons and I had jerk chicken platter and sandwiches. The chicken barely had any flavor and didn’t taste authentic Jamaican at all. I had ordered plantain on the side, the plantain pieces tasted like they had been warmed up in a microwave and they were barely warm by the time my meal was served.Other than the music didn’t find anything else Jamaican. Highly disappointed by the taste and service.
