Waffle House - Monroe

On Friday morning, 2/25, I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The server, who I believe was named Jannette (spelling unclear), was extremely rude and had a bad attitude from the moment I walked in. She seemed to be in a bad mood and was complaining and unprofessional. She didn't even offer me a drink. I have had good experiences at this restaurant before, but this was by far the worst. Servers like her should not be tolerated.

We visited this restaurant after an event and were a bit disappointed. The food is usually prepared with care, but on this occasion, it was subpar. We ordered the speck well-done, but when it was served, it was not as requested. We sent it back, but the cook seemed to have an issue with it. He even argued that we never asked for it to be well-done. Throughout our meal, he complained and seemed to be in a bad mood. We understand that everyone has off days, but it was unpleasant to have him bring that negative energy into his work. My husband and I work as servers and we appreciate the effort that goes into the job. However, due to the poor service we received, we chose not to leave a tip that day.

We had a long wait to be seated at the restaurant. Then, it took a while for our order to be taken for myself, my husband, and our sons. Another couple who was behind us in line was seated after us and had their order taken before us, receiving their food earlier as well. We were not happy about this, but we did not cause a scene. I asked for scrambled egg whites with a little cheese, but what I received was a small portion of watery egg whites with a whole slice of melted cheese, which looked unappetizing. Despite this, I remained polite and asked if they had shredded cheese, only to be told they did not. I requested for the dish to be redone, but it came back as whole scrambled eggs instead. I gave it to my sons as they wanted more eggs. The waitress tried again to bring me egg whites, but once more it came back as whole scrambled eggs. She then offered to remove it from the bill, but when she returned, the total remained the same. Feeling frustrated, we decided to simply pay and leave. Unfortunately, I seem to encounter issues every time I dine at this particular Waffle House, so I have decided to stop going there in the future.

My western omlett with Hasbrowns plus coffee was perfect and service was great.. I've stopped in at this location several times in the past and won't hesitate to return again ?
