Denny's - Monroeville

I received a steak and it was pretty tough and the manager, Trish, offered to make my steak, which I thought was a beautiful gesture. It literally brought tears to my eyes. My waitress, Leann, was absolutely an amazing waitress and Ely actually helped me type this. I appreciate you hiring them, and we need more people like them.

We accidentally visited during the after church rush and were surprised how quickly we were seated and served .

Coming from a server’s point of view I try to be understanding as possible with people but today when I went in at 4:25 am I told them I was gonna place a to go order and they said I was gonna be helped in a minute. After about 10 mins goes by I see a server rolling silverware so I kindly ask her if she could place my to go order and she told me “ I’m not on the clock you are gonna have to ask the other server” not only was that said but the manager on at the time came up to that same server that was rolling silverware and said “ we are about to participate in extracurricular outside if you wanna join” when my to go order wasn’t even taken yet. So I just left I’m super ashamed cause I use to work here and I feel like this place has gone downhill and the management just doesn’t care anymore.

11AM on a saturday with a decently packed house and service was still excellent. Waitress was friendly and food was brought extremely fast. Very pleased.
