Moio's Italian Pastry Shop

We were pleasantly surprised when we discovered this bakery that offers black forest cakes. Although the black forest cake was unavailable, we decided to try the carrot cake instead, and also ordered baklava. Both desserts were absolutely delicious! The carrot cake is a must-try, while the other cakes were quite dry and lacked flavor.

Yesterday was my man's birthday and he wanted a chocolate wingcake from Moios. I arrived at the bakery right when it opened and the line was already out the door. The cake looked beautiful, but unfortunately it was the driest cake I've ever had. It tasted like it was old. I'm very disappointed.

This restaurant is simply amazing with very quick service! The pictures don't do justice to the culinary creations, but I wanted to provide an example. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed when I called because the place was incredibly busy. However, the staff at Moio took the time to speak with me, even though I was a bit unsure of what I wanted. I only knew that the theme was based on the Nintendo Switch, which I didn't have much time to suggest. Honestly, I think they could sense my desperation! Despite the tight time frame of 24 hours, the staff managed to create a cupcake cake for my nephew that perfectly fit the theme of his party. When I saw the cake upon arrival, I was stunned (along with the other customers)...I had tears in my eyes. At the party, my nephew's eyes sparkled with delight as he opened the box over and over again! The price may be on the higher side, but with the quality of the creations and excellent customer service, it's worth every penny. My nephew's happiness was priceless! The other culinary delights were also exceptional - my favorites were the carrot cake (one of the best in PA), nut skins, and dame schlösser! The sfogliatella was also very good. This place is fantastic.

My sohn has recently married in California and I wanted to take along the pittsburgh cookie table. tony did it! he has baked and sent 100 dozen cookies and they were wonderful! there was no break and the table was a hit. most people had never seen a Pittsburgh cookie table before and they were fed to get them right after dinner. tony was wonderful to work with and he made the cookie table so easy there.

Best Italian pastry shop EVER!! Everything is amazing but the chocolate cannolis are my absolute favorite!! Super friendly people and environment. A must go no matter where you live, it is well worth the drive!!
