I like that so much better than a bunch of tables in the middle of a room. Food-fabulous! We ordered bento boxes and were not disappointed. My sashimi was extremely fresh. And Tender. My husband's salmon roll was also just great. Service-again fantastic! Waitstaff was attentive and professional. Our new sushi place.
Took a little to get seated Sunday was steady night. Waiter was nice and friendly Food came out quickly Restaurant wasn't overly loud and had the playoffs on tvs
Service is efficient, and there's usually spots open when you walk in for smaller parties. In a cute location that's nice to walk around in. I really like their hand rolls they don't skimp out on the fish! The garlic edamame spicy is also quite delicious. Taste and good, quality is ok. Would come here to conveniently satisfy my sushi cravings.
I'm writing this review because I want Mikomi to succeed. There aren't many good sushi spots in the area and I feel like they are so close to being a better than average sushi spot. Firstly, we were seated quickly. But seated next to the bar where they were washing the floor. With an industrial cleaning agent that smelled like ammonia. Needless to say it did not improve our appetite. We moved tables on our own cuz the smell was giving us a headache. Perhaps wait til your customers are not in the vicinity to do commercial cleaning? Or at least sit us somewhere else The food is what you can expect from a local sushi spot. They aren't winning culinary awards here. But the key is the freshness of the ingredients. And for that reason, Mikomi is one of the best spots around. Slight complaint about some of the prices but I guess we're seeing that everywhere. I just remember being able to get a nice sushi meal for $25-$30 a head. Nowadays expect $45-60. We also had a slight issue with our server. We came for a specific roll and that happened to be the one that was missing from our order. However the server did admit to it and apologized. Overall, a decent spot in the area for sushi. If they were able to tighten up their operations, I'd be coming back a lot more often
Ordered a good amount of food it was good!! I am usually not the biggest fan of albacore, however the albacore was so soft and it practically melts in your mouth. The ultimate salmon roll was delicious as well, but def needed some citrus! I've never had anything like the 8 wishes roll, but the blue crab had a slight sweetness and paired well with the tuna on the inside. As always I have to get the salmon egg sushi, which was delicious as well. I would come back to try some of the other items on the menu. Our server was nice, and I did appreciate that there was both indoor and outdoor seating. Weather was nice enough to be outside, so we chose to sit out! Overall a good place to go, although on a weekend parking is tough since it is in the city.
