Appel Meal - Mons

Looks really, really dodgy, but it's perfect! And I mean, come on... it's called "Appel Meal!" Food good: Can not choose, haha women bathroom was fine. Men seem not so much. You have to pay 50 cents, but as I said, nothing to complain to the ladies.

Fast, simple, tasty and good portion size. Friendly and helpful too.

Hit and miss with the quality of the chips/fries. After years of stopping here in both directions, my wife insists the eastbound one is better than the westbound. Have a loyalty card so you get a free portion of fries after 12 portions (about every 4 years for us! . As of August 2017 this whole stretch of motorway is full of roadworks and delays and best avoided until work completed.

Site used mainly for one night stopovers. Easy distance from the E40. Site is sloping so not many completely flat pitches. Upside the small service facilities have amazing decor and even statues. Nice little bar, bistro and pool. Downside the electrics are a bit on then off with significant voltage drop on our pitch at the extremity of the site. Also the earth supply pin not functioning. Owner friendly but found 4 Euros extra over the ACSI price.

Why is it not open on a Saturday and Sunday. It says it is on the site. But its not !! Inconvenience.
