The food is decent, with the olive, cheese, and meat snack dish being excellent. They also offer toasties at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and pleasant.
I recently dined at a great restaurant with a very interesting layout. I tried the 'Irish Beef ' also known as Cheval for the first time and found it to be quite enjoyable. The beer selection was extensive, with a few sours and Lambics that I hadn't seen in many other places in Belgium. Our table had a lovely view overlooking the Grand Market/Place, where we dined on the last night of the circus before it switched over for Christmas in November 2015. Despite the obnoxious circus lights, we still enjoyed our meal. I didn't pay the bill, so I can't say for sure what it cost, but based on the menu prices, it was very reasonable at €15-€25 per plate depending on what you ordered. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere, much like the rest of Mons, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
The service was very pleasant, with the manager even coming over to give my girlfriend a complimentary potted plant from the flower market. We ordered the entrecote and moules frites, which were tasty and reasonably priced. I noticed some comments about the toilets being a bit shabby, but they were clean during our visit.
Very nice place with friendly personel and good food, try mules in white wine and beer Pays Noir
