Not only the food was delicious with high quality and original meals, but also Olivier creates a great atmosphere where you can interact with other clients , be at ease and really enjoy yourself . The location is wonderful with a lovely view on the river . Highly recommended if you want to have a good time
On the way to Bordeaux, we wanted lunch other than at a rest stop on the highway. By chance, we saw the town on the map and saw it had several restaurants. We chose La Digue because it was on the river. The cuisine was varied and locally sourced. The duck confit was made totally in-house, and the salmon was smoked by the owner-chef. When we were having some difficulty in translating the menu, the owner’s nephew, who was the manager, readily translated. When we asked where he had learned English, he said he had just returned from Great Britain where he worked in a Michelin starred restaurant. Enough said.
First time in a while since I've been to La Digue. I was pleased last time I went but today the weather made the whole experience even better. The location (once you've made the steep descent to the riverside) is idyllic. Foregoing the days selection on the ardoise I chose the fois gras entrée and the the Merlu fish option. Both courses were of generous portions and the local Mareuil wine was fine and fruity.
Located on the river bank in the old town of Montaigu, this small family-run restaurant is proud to serve with fresh ingredients (regional) French dishes and surround everything with a beautiful, warm and friendly atmosphere. We have closed our summer holidays with the family in this restaurant and really enjoyed us. The crew will be happy to advise you on your meals and drinks when required in English. My wife, as a vegetarian, also had a lot of choice. We had calf, pig and fish and all were very delicious. Special reference to desserts, we had the hairdress and cafe gourment . If you are around, treat yourself and your friends to a good meal in La Digue.
Had a fantastic meal on the way to Nantes. Various class of food. Had Amuse Bouche on the house, Carpaccio for beginners, gorgeous duckbone confit with crispy chips. I couldn't manage the dessert. The manager was great, spoke very good English and was very helpful. Beautiful quiet location on the river.
