During my day trip to Montauk, I stumbled upon Joni's, a popular restaurant that I had seen in several videos. The place was bustling with activity, which confirmed that I had found the right spot. After a short wait, I ordered the Rio Acai Bowl and Thai Me Up, and in about ten minutes my food arrived, fresh and delicious. The only thing I would have wished for was an extra umbrella in the outdoor seating area, as I realized why my table was available.
Seriously. It took an hour to get extremely poor quality food and less than average overpriced coffee. The food is prefabricated at the level of Starbucks ready to go to the counter options for much more slanted
This restaurant is a gluten-free paradise! I loved it so much that I went back twice! During my visits, I tried the Smokin Jack Wrap (on a gluten-free wrap), freshly baked GF banana bread, a chocolate donut, an egg wrap, and even received a free GF Chia Berry Muffin. The wraps were delicious but a bit crumbly, which is typical for gluten-free options. However, the baked goods were outstanding! The banana bread was incredibly moist and fresh out of the oven. The chocolate donut was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still good. The Chia Berry Muffin was amazing and so fresh that I wish I had grabbed a few more to enjoy throughout the week. The service was excellent, with both front-of-house staff being friendly and helpful. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
I would give them 5 stars because they have some good organic food items, but what?s inconsistent is that they unsustainably use single-use cutlery and packaging even for dine-in customers. And there is no designated cans to recycle the plastic packaging. Some of the packaging says ?compostable? but if you read the fine print, that is only compostable in an industrial facility. While organic items are important for the planet, zero waste is too. Please bring back non single-use, ceramic or metal plates and silverware cutlery!
