Swallow East - MONTAUK

I had a bad experience here before and wanted to try it again. Came this time and similar experience. Some of the food is ok, but the sliders tasted like the bread was stale, and the surf and turf tacos were terrible. For how pricey everything is, you'd expect much better quality. Service and environment were great, but food needs to up it's game. There's far better options for their competition

We got to Swallow East around on a Sunday of Memorial Day weekend....it was Raggae night. We were seated outside as requested. The food was very good. We had a lot of apps to share which were all very good with the exception of the tacos...which were bland. My biggest issue with this place was the crowds...it was crazy packed with year olds. If you’re a year old and enjoy waiting for a half hour on line for the bathroom...or waiting at the bar for half an hour for drink..this place is for you. If you are used to more of a chill atmosphere...montauk has a lot more to offer...durhyas or crows nest. This is a very young crowd but perhaps we were just there the wrong night

Food was good thought the Flank Steak was very expensive for what you got

Great location and food, but service was very slow and waitresses inattentive. Bartender was super sweet, we should have stayed and had our dinner at the bar with her

The food here is absolutely terrible. Everything from the piece of cauliflower for to the fish and pork tacos it was all horrendous. We waited mins to order our and our dirty plates sat on the table in front of us that whole time. The restaurant was half full which made the whole experience a little puzzling! Would hate to see how they handle the summer influx of city slickers...
