The food is fresh and the chef uses local produce and creates local specialities as much as possible. Orders are not taken after 9pm,so it makes sense to arrive early. The food and wine is not cheap but you do get what you pay for and it was all delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter treated us with a little less friendliness than the other diners-we were the only non-French customers and we felt we lost out because of this, although we did our best to speak in French . Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal and our wine choice.
The restaurant has quite a varied and creative menu that will please vegetarians, meat and fish lovers. The wine list offers plenty of choice. Prices are reasonable and it certainly good value.
This place shuts from Sunday night to Monday at 17.00. Not good if you arrive on Monday at 15.00. We thought it had closed down permanently, nothing to tell us otherwise. We were about to move on when the manageress arrived. Room was described as view of river and mountain. Pokey ,badly lit room facing the bank. When this was pointed out to the manageress she just gave a look of 'well what do you expect me to do about it '. Not good value for money. Shame really. It is in a beautiful valley. The restaurant is something of a prima Donna. Superb food but at the expense of poor service in the rest of the hotel.
Excellent reception! Comfortable room. Beautiful frame just next to the abbey and good table. A couple passionate about biathlon, unforgettable discovery. I'll be back with pleasure any season.
A service to the height of the kitchen, i.e. perfection to my senses. I have of course kept the address, I will return to it whenever possible.
