This restaurant is situated at the base of the old village and is probably the first you...will see when you arrive to explore the upper levels. It is thus well-placed to build up energy for the climb to the top of the old village, or to revive your energy after having completed your climb! La Tentation is small and bustling and clearly has built up a well-deserved reputation, so if you intend to climb, it would be worth reserving a table to await you after your tiring efforts, otherwise you may be disappointed. The lady in charge kindly managed to fit us in ,but it was touch and go. We were rewarded with an excellent choice of dishes, featuring a selection of enormous salads (this reviewer much enjoyed the roquefort and walnut version) and hot dishes. The dessert menu is equally enticing and generous. There is outside seating and the service is quick and friendly. Notable was the attention to cleanliness, not always the case in very busy small restaurants. Pricing was very reasonable throughout. To sum up, La Tentation lived up to its name, so don't be afraid to give in to temptation!
Good selection of food pizzas; salads, fish etc. Tables outside; nice atmosphere; friendly staff. In the village of Montbrun-les-Bains, which is worth visiting anyway.
We happened upon this establishment after being told there was no room for us at a grander restaurant; there was a wide choice of food for a small restaurant; the serving lady couldn’t have been more friendly. Two of us had the salade exotique. Others...had lamb and stew. All were very good. Lots of different deserts. All at reasonable prices and with swift service. It made our day visiting the town and the Castle Auban all the more special.
We stopped for lunch in the beautiful village Montbrun les bains and took the carpaccio which was actually very good, fresh and well seasoned . Staff is a little classic frenchy' slow but the meal was good . Cheap tables and chairs in this small...place along the main road . This is not a restaurant to wine and dine but rather ideal for a quick meal .
In it's own class this corner bistro- restaurant was a real gem! We biked from Sault and past lunch time it is really difficult to find a place to eat in Fance. This simple pizza style restaurant which from outside looks a bit like a...tourist's trap, was not only open but served a fantastic choice of dishes. We opted for salads and we were very nicely surpriced, they were excellent! We recommend having a desert as well. Service was friendly, efficient, produce first class. Seemed it was family owned and they really make an effort to please their clients. Great food!
