The first dish she brought was my husband’s, and after a 10-minute wait, she finally delivered my taco—a very simple dish—without any care, practically dropping it on the table. We noticed that while we were eating, she was behind the counter applying her makeup, completely oblivious to us. She never checked back to see if we needed anything. When we got up to pay, she came out but didn’t ask how our meal was. She didn’t present us with the check either; instead, she just processed the payment. When I asked for the check, she responded with an attitude. My husband paid, and it was clear she was expecting a tip. I asked to speak to the manager, but she claimed there wasn’t one available. I pointed out her rudeness and expressed that she didn’t deserve a tip, to which she replied that she didn’t need it. My family and I decided to try this restaurant to support a small local business, but this was our first and last visit.
Cameron Cocido Y Pulpo consistently serves fresh and hearty meals. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch.
If you want a similar experience to this restaurant, just take your money, burn it, and drink the ashes in water! The older woman who serves here spends more time chatting than attending to customers. I was one of only two customers, yet I still had to wait ages for service. The shrimp ceviche tostada was the worst I've ever had; the shrimp were small and tasted canned, the tostadas resembled cheap Taco Bell versions rather than authentic ones. The portions were tiny and the taste was disappointing. I will never return to this place. All I wanted was a cold beer and some good ceviche, and this was not it. To make matters worse, my glass still had Michelada syrup stuck to it after being "washed," so I had to drink from the bottle. I can't believe I waited five minutes while the waitress carried on a conversation about everything but work instead of taking my order. I should have just walked out. Save your time and head to Mariscos Jalisco on Holt for real ceviche!
I ordered a shrimp cocktail, but it only came with three shrimp, and unfortunately, it didn't taste very good. I also tried two shrimp tacos, and they were overcooked, making the shrimp quite rubbery.
