Contribuisci feedbackOur new favorite Italian-style restaurant- and we're from San Francisco! Superb food; enjoyed our outstanding, smart and amicable server. Generous servings of truffles. We highly recommend to customers who really enjoy savoring their food!
Is a very good place to eat at Carmel, we ordered the soup of the day, which was zucchini and broccoli, too much olive oil for me. I got the carbonara pasta and my boyfriend got the fettuccini both were amazing. Finally got the salmon with vegetables which had like a lemon-pesto cream on the bottom, loved the salmon, hated the cream. And we had a Pinot Noir for companion to our dinner which was delicious. Service is a bit slow and everything is a bit pricey but other than that I really recommend it.
The dog-friendly patio convinced us to stop here for lunch. Being Italians living in US, we were engaging with the waiter and asking him for recommendations. We ordered a semplice margherita pizza, salmon and rigatoni with sausage. They mistakenly served gnocchi instead of salmon. The waiter apologized and seemed genuine, hence we went with the gnocchi. They were nothing special. We asked for dessert and he recommended an homemade tartufo (coffee ice cream) and he proactively refused our choice of tiramisu, making the tartufo look the best of the carte. Saying that it was like a grocery store coffee ice cream is being more than fair. But then we discovered it costed 25$! More than the pizza! Are we crazy?!?!we will not be back.
Stopped by during a visit to Carmel. When you’re traveling you win some and lose some with restaurants, but I think the restaurant needs this feedback. We ordered light because we like to hedge at pricier restaurants when we don’t know them. Here’s what we got: The deliziosa salad, which purports to have pear in it. It was served in a hot plastic bowl with a handful of rucola, a few shavings of fennel, and the pear, which was hard and cut into slivers. One of the pieces was flat and had the score marks from the knife, as they couldn’t be bothered to cut through the fruit into actual pieces for $17. The burrata prosciutto pizza. It’s hard to explain, but the dough was undercooked but over semolina’d on the bottom so it was soggy and crunchy at the same time. It looked sloppy and haphazard. Although they don’t have a kids menu they were nice enough to make spaghetti with tomato sauce for our 10 year old. That said, they charged us $21 for it. With tip the meal cost $100, which left a lot to be desired.Service was slow and inattentive. With their prices, the quality is not there. Not recommended.
A must try! So delicious! Waiter helped with choices and didn’t disappoint. I most definitely will be back!
