The Pot de Creme dessert is worth driving miles for!
Food was very bland. Had to add salt and pepper which is very rare for a French restaurant. The vegetables were undercooked. Very limited wine menu for French wines by the glass. Decor was outdoor patio tables combined with 1980s indoor dining chairs. Had heard really good things about this restaurant but despite the great service, that's really all it had to offer. Given all the great restaurant options in Carmel, Patisserie Boissiere was quite disappointing.
I would have liked to try it. But when they arrived at 3:20 p.m., they had already closed. The times indicated say closing at 4 p.m. Went elsewhere. Add: 2 stars because you were closed BEFORE the time indicated on your official opening hours. And it wasn't just 10-15 minutes before schedule, it was over half an hour before, with no one inside so we didn't miss you by 2 seconds. Instead, indicate a closing at 3 p.m., that will make for less debate. Nb: you must put a note to comment. 5 stars when you close early is not correct. 1 star, the minimum was also too harsh.
Adorable bistro with delicious food! We were seated right away, service was excellent and food even better. We got stuffed mushrooms, French onion soup and short ribs with mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans. The meat was so flavorful and tender wow! Soup's cheese was cooked to perfection, just browned on top
