Sorafune - Monterey Park

The moment we walked in, it looked very clean and almost like a brand-new restaurant, though we learned later that it 's at least seven years old. There was no 'fishy smell ' like at a bunch of lower class sushi restaurants, and the decor was very neat and had a mild Japanese motif. A very friendly waiter directed us to the counter in front of where the chef made our sushi, which was made extremely quickly. The chef even accommodated to my boyfriend 's picky tastes (he doesn 't like avocado) to make a special sushi roll without charging extra. The food itself was fresh and tasted incredible. Everything was affordable and reasonable in price, though my boyfriend and I bought a lot more than we intended in the first place and got super full. All in all, I will be coming back to this restaurant frequently for the cleanliness, the fresh food, the presentation of the food, and the friendliness of the staff.

Chirashi is super good here and HUMONGOUS. It's pretty authentic Japanese food since the chef is from Japan. I came here with my girlfriend a few days ago and was able to order quite a lot since everything tastes very fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

Very japanese japan restaurant. My family loves the food.

Might just be the best sushi in Monterey Park!
