Benihana Monterey

I really like Beni's but this location is unique compared to others that I have been to and I've been to 15+ Beni's Never get take out from the Beni's, the rice sucks, the steaks are not good even the vegetables were bad. If you want to eat here then dine in and enjoy the show! The host was great, the waitress was nowhere to be found but the chefs was awesome and the food was great!! So for me when I read a review what I really want to know is if the person writing the review will actually go back and do business at this particular location again. Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? Of course the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES, I love me some Beni's!!

You have to share table with strangers. Not cool for having a quality family dinner.

I still am shaking my head over this. I was SO excited for this dinner we were celebrating my graduation. Parking was terrible so I sent my mom in to get seated. A few minutes later, I arrived and met Mom in the lobby. The hostess sat us. I was even more excited. 5 minutes passed, then 10. The waitress arrived to take our drink orders. I asked how long until the rest of the table would be seated so we could get started on a fun dinner. Instead, she took our dinner orders and when she left, a server 's helper cleared the rest of the plates off the table. We were left alone for the entire dinner. They stacked the plates at the end of the table and I just stared at the table, certain there was so sort of mix up and trying to figure out what was going on. Soon the chef came to the table and began prepping our dinner. He was great, but it was awkward and sad. After dinner the waitress brought us 3 dishes of ice cream and took 2 photos for us (terrible) She said they both were no charge. As if it couldn 't get worse, when I saw my charge for dinner on my Chase debit card, it was $30 more than I had authorized and signed the check for. We tipped in cash, so I knew that wasn 't it. They had actually charged me for the no charge items. Never again. I am so beyond disappointed.

Magnificent experience! After a nice drive in fantastic Monterey we stopped here and it was worth it. We ordered some noodles which they prepared for us on the large plate at our table. Great flavor and very friendly staff! Interesting stop to make if you love Asian food! Well done!
