Domenico's On The Wharf - Monterey

Domenico's used to be the top restaurant on the pier. While it has always been expensive, the food was once exquisite. However, now the dishes are flavorless, either lukewarm or excessively spicy. The menu is unimpressive and the food is of low quality. I have no intention of returning there.

Eric our waiter was absolutely PRICELESS! Myself my two sisters and their spouses all got together for a mini reunion. We all could not have asked for a better waiter and wait staff. Botomline: Eric made our dinner one of the best! Couldn’t ask for more.

We had the artichoke app which was absolutely delicious. I had the san dabs and my wife had the crab Louie. We were both very happy. Benito’s service was first class. Nice man and very knowledgeable of the menu and its presentation.

I made reservations and the host seated us at a table with a great view of the water. This restaurant has been in business for over 30 years and it's clear that they are well-managed. All of the staff members we interacted with were adult men, indicating that they are well-compensated and the food is top-notch. We enjoyed everything from the crabcake appetizer to the recommended wine and the delicious daily specials. My wife ordered the red snapper and I had the halibut, both were excellent. This meal was a highlight of our 17-day trip along the west coast, which included stops in San Francisco, Napa, Yosemite, and Sequoia. Overall, this was one of the best and healthiest meals we had on our journey.

This is a wonderful restaurant for a special dinner. The service from the staff was excellent and the menu offered a wide variety of options. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals!
