El Torito - Monterey

Updated review * This is an updated review. My family and I previously had a bad experience at this location but I love to say we had a great time today.

My husband and I stopped in here for a little Happy Hour snack before our dinner reservations at another restaurant at Cannery Row.

Dillion was our server and after a crazy day of being treated poorly at a hotel We had one of the best lunch experiences.

The food was excellent but a little pricey for the portions received. The service was a challenge because the server did not speak/understand English very well. When asked about corkage fees we were told $55... So we went with the house Shiraz (Copper Moon) and that was $55 for a bottle of wine that is retailed for about $7... So all in all good food, WAY over priced!

Service was great and the food was flavorful and outstanding. We were able to bring a nice bottle of wine as well that brough out the flavours of each dish. I would go back and recommend.
