Starbucks - Monterey

We ordered our ice tea strong (no water option). Our request was ignored, we received weak iced tea.

We had not been back to this Starbucks for years. It was just as we remembered it. It was like stepping back into time when Starbucks were large, clean, not overcrowded, and unfettered by the mentally ill, drug addicts, and grifters who now plague most Starbucks and similar type businesses across the country and particularly nanny states like CA. There were no key pads on the bathroom doors, which were men's and women's. The friendly multicultural staff who took our order was efficient and very nice. They got our drink order right on the first try. They were out of a few items we wanted, but kindly suggested suitable substitutes. They had good drive through and some inside business, but our drinks were prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Although there were some customers, we still had a choice of tables and were able to get a good seat, unlike other locations where every table is full nearly from open till close. The background music was not up too high and the conversations near us were not too loud. We were able to sit in peace for an hour or two and feel relatively safe and unmolested from panhandlers and other customers asking for our table until we decided it was time to leave. Overall, it was a great 5 star experience and we will be back again sometime when we are in the area.Tip: They have a small to medium sized lot which likely will hold enough cars per the tables inside, but it is easier to access from the back small side street rather than from the front on the main street.

The store is well-manicured, and it has a good vibe. Crew members are awesome.Keep up the good work!

This is, by far, THE BEST Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso I have had! Used the drive through, it was quick and painless. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Looked through the pick up window and the inside looks spacious and modern. I hope to come back and stay next time.

I was here at least five days a week while living in Monterey, and I must say I miss this place. It was always a welcoming atmosphere where I looked forward to getting work done every time. Employees are fantastic, will return if ever in the area again!
