I'm writing this review for their Linda Vista branch which I couldn't locate, this is probably the closest restaurant The menu looks very like Japanese, they have most things there We ordered some dishes like mixed tempura, fried...rice, Noodles, etc. (to be on the safe side) Portion of food is Mexician size, huge portion Put Japanese flavor on one side, food is taste pretty decent but if you use Japanese flavor to measure it then will it unable to make the cut. The majority of the customers are Mexican so I'm going to assume they meddle and localize in their tastes for the shop. The real Japanese foods may be too bland for them. If you're looking for a change (not mexician food,) this is an option, but don't expect the real Japanese
Went there with my girlfriend, she put her arm around my shoulder, and we ordered some rolls. Then, just as the waiter was bringing our food, a staff member approached our table and told us hugging was not allowed in that establishment and asked us...to leave. I kid you not... hugging! Not allowed! I've met my share of homophobes through the years, but this one takes the prize for most ludicrous reasoning, without a question. Couldn't even enlighten us as to why hugging was not permitted. If you're visiting the area, feel in the mood for sushi, and would rather not go to a restaurant that feels like catholic school prom in the Bible Belt, I would suggest Wok, they have great food and, as far as I know, you won't be kicked out if, heaven forbid, your arm should come too close to your significant other's shoulder.
Sushi !!! Super rico!! Recomendable el maiz roll !!!
First time at this place: they opened a branch near our home (Plaza Loreto) and my daughters wanted to give it a try since they are big fans of noodles and oriental food. We order to-go the best noodles they had in their menú (can't...really remember the name). Advertised price was expensive but we were assured that each portion was for two people. We waited nearly an hour for our food, the place is barely tolerable because the atmosphere is saturated with burnt oil: I had to go out of the restaurant and wait in the cold windy weather instead of inside. Once at home our surprise was huge with very small amounts of food and worst oriental tasting food we have ever eaten. Walmart's sushi tastes much better than this ****, not joking. Photos for evidence. Make yourself a favor and stay away of Nikkori.
