San Angel Bar & Grill - Monterrey

It is like an oasis in the middle of busy streets. The entrance at first was not that promising, but as you enter the inner patio, at night and so many lights and traditions día de los muertos decoration... everything changes. The food and drinks were excellent, with a good service. Live music made the experience an unforgettable one.

Traditional Mexican upscale cooking in the city is hard to come by these days. However, it can be found here. Every dish was excellent starting with the freshly baked and seasoned tortilla chips with fresh salsas (by far the best I have had in 5 years), continuing to the salad with an avocado and cilantro dressing and then our main courses of pork and beef. WOW! The service was excellent, the tastefully decorated setting, an oasis of quiet in the city, and the food delicious. By far this is our favorite place to eat at in Monterrey.

La decoración en este restaurante es más impresionante que el sabor de la comida. El chicharrón de rib eye estaba recalentado y las tortillas estaban frías. Además, nunca nos ofrecieron postre.

I have been there a couple of times, and have enjoyed each time. The food is really good and comes fast. They portions are generous. Service is equally good. Parking is in the back. They have a nice atmosphere with water fountains. Great for pictures with the family for all the selfie-lovers.

Es un lugar muy agradable, pero el sazón de la comida es mediano. Si quieres un lugar para comer bien, no lo recomiendo.
