We had booked a week in advance for 4 (confirmation of the owner) and the evening of our arrival to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday, we were told never to have received a reservation and that the restaurant was closed for lack of guests!!! We had to repel the path very disappointed by this lack of professionalism!! The owners were with family and did not advise us of other restaurants, nor offered a drink to apologize! I know management has changed recently and well, it's gone wrong!
An establishment that has been taken over for less than 2 months is to be emphasized in this complicated period, but it is difficult to find its brands both in the reception and in its kitchen to provide pleasure. The map is simple but could be satisfactory if the dishes were well executed but the accompaniments "small season vegetables" were unfortunately quite insipid and the dauphinois gratin finally it had the name) that accompanied 2 of the 4 dishes not totally defrosted. Result after eating a third of our 2 dishes back in the kitchen and after 10 minutes we get back.... In a magnificent setting composed of a beautiful castle and a superb park, we are welcomed by the new owners, a charming and pleasant couple. After an aperitif with local colors (short cover) with its amuses, we are installed on the large colored terrace and beautifully decorated. At the meal: mouth amuses (a velvety of beans with basil) then in half-cooked foie gras with spice bread, then holy jacco shells with saffron, then low-temperature duck magret and a sweet dessert made of creamy cake and ice cream. As for the restaurant, we ate there on the 2 nights of our stay. Very nice frame and class, beautiful atmosphere, distanciation and sanitary rules applied. Meals are served outside and under shelter. The 30th attached photo menu ( dessert flat entrance), and a map. A treat and a very nice service! But there's one. On the 2nd evening we asked whether it was possible to change a dish from the menu by a dish from the map. The waiter responded kindly and with the smile, that it was not possible because it is not the same quantity, that it is enough to take the 2nd dish of the menu. On the contrary, I took the 2nd dish of the menu (the pork cheek wasn’t at all my thing, it wasn’t tempting at all). So the day we come back, it'll only be for one night, a shame.
