I really enjoyed the Southern breakfast bowl, which had a wonderful blend of southern flavors. My husband ordered the breakfast platter, which came with an interesting variety of jellies and spreads.
I visited around 11:00 AM on a Sunday morning. The $7 Fried Peach Pie was only the size of an empanada. The Loaded Breakfast Potatoes consisted mostly of chopped-up French fries, with just an egg and some bacon bits on top—there was no cheese at all. The dining room was crowded and not very impressive. The coffee was quite mediocre. Overall, I was pretty disappointed considering the prices.
This was the best experience I've ever had! I returned to try my first fried moon pie, and it was absolutely wonderful. I'm so thankful to my friend for recommending this place to me.
This hidden gem has been around for years, and it's absolutely stunning. I ordered the double-decker pimento grilled cheese sandwich with pommes, which was good, but I immediately felt a pang of regret when I saw my friend's fleischtau sandwich. I tasted it, and it was incredible. I’ll definitely be returning for one of those!
I highly recommend stopping by this place if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's the best collard greens I've had in years, and the fried chicken was excellent as well. The service was super friendly, and I will definitely return when I'm passing through again.
