So we have been eating falafel and pizza at this seasonal place. it was quite good. To date, we have broken in to kidnap falafel. I just walked out. not a hired wore a mask or gloves. customers waiting on the line to get their food were also maskless. the person behind the counter, the falafel sandwiches prepared and cut pizza slices and heated, wore no masks or gloves and was the same person who took money and credit card payments and treated. I was more appalled than I was disappointed because we really like the falafels. but their total disregard for the laws and egoism and inactivity, even the attempt to protect the spread of covid, is blatant and unrespectful. they seem to know that when the health department comes up with them, they are closed for the season. who knows how many people have become sick because of their total stupidity.
Pizza was great, would definitely go back when in the opposite.
Nice guy but food wasn’t good. We got Pizza from freezer that seemed to be warmed up multiple times before. Very not clean place.
This place is only open for several months around summertime. I make a point visit each summer, and on my last visit of each season, order a few pies to freeze for the year. The pizza here is truly excellent it is extremely tasty, and has a bit of spice and kick to it. Absolutely worth the lines, a few times each summer. Though, I recommend going at offpeak times to avoid crowds, if you can. The venue itself isn't very nice, per se, but that's not what earns this place its five stars it's all about their excellent pizza that you simply will not find elsewhere. I remember their other food being good, too. However, I typically do not waste the time or space on anything other than their pizza when I bother to make the trip (my current summer place is pretty far from Monticello). There is a decent amount of seating, including some outdoors, but it is pretty old and run down.
