The Skinny Pancake Montpelier

10/14/2023: The food was good, the place was really cute, but the customer service on the part of the cashier was terrible. Read all the way to the bottom to understand. I went back up the the counter not long after ordering, to change my order because I found out that something I ordered had something I am allergic to in it. The young man who had took my original order told me that I should have said something when I was ordering. He did change my order however, so even though he was a bit rude to say that I let it slide because he is right that I should have though of to mention all my food allergies even though it was not obvious to me that it would even be an ingredient in what I ordered. I thanked him for changing my order and went back to my table. After I changed my order both me and one other person at the table waited on our drinks for over 20 minutes while our food was being prepared and our drinks did not come. Our food arrived we ate for about 10 minutes and our drinks still had not come out. We finished eating and waited about 10 more minutes for our drinks to show up. We finally asked one of the waitstaff if our drinks were coming and they said they could put them in to-go cups, which we were fine with. There were even other people who ordered the same drink as us, who ordered after us and theirs were delivered before their food even came out. We waited some more and our drinks still did not show up after we waited even longer so we went up to the counter and requested a refund on the drinks because we wanted to leave rather than wait for them even longer. The same young man who had taken our order was still working the register and said that they would give us a refund, and he then asked us if we do this sort of thing often at restaurants. Myself and the other person who did not receive our drinks felt very insulted by this as we are always very nice to wait staff and at no point did we even say anything rude to them after not receiving our drinks. We just wanted a refund so that we did not have to wait anymore. Even though the young man at the register said that they would issue us a refund, we never received the refund on the drinks that we never even received after about 50 minutes of waiting. I am fine with waitstaff making mistakes, but I do not find it acceptable that he was so rude to us and did not give us the promised refund. Not sure what his issue with us was but someone needs to make sure he knows he can't talk like that to customers.

The chicken pesto crepe was delicious but the coffee was pretty generic. Would go back and get a craft beer instead or the London Fog tea.

Great place to eat breakfast or brunch. I recommend the Eat Your Greens salad! The vegan maple milkshake was also fantastic. Very friendly staff. Vegetarian options: They have many vegetarian options, and some vegan choices as well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
