It seemed as though the menu varies from day to day but there are always several items to choose from. While the food was great the prices seemed a bit on the upper end.
Set in the back streets of montpellier just outside the old village this restaurant was quiet welcoming. The friendly hosts although could not speak English, enjoyed a laugh with us made us feel very welcome!
The only two tables occupied on the night of our visit were in the small garden which on a hot summer 's night might be lovely, but the cool wind made us retreat indoors where we were completely alone. The decor is very basic, presumably to give a 'refectory ' or 'canteen ' feel, which added to the lack of atmosphere. The food, however, was quite tasty. A starter of a thick carrot veloute hiding a goat 's cheese raviolo beneath and topped with crispy bacon was delicious. My prawn, scallop and chorizo main was good and my husband enjoyed his duck with citrus and ginger. The service was friendly but the overall experience was disappointing considering the expense.
The decor makes us fall into childhood, the team is great and the kitchen fell.
Dishes, all of good quality and very tasty. the bosses are generous and pleasant. See you soon.
