So we booked for the next night for four, outside. we were excited. when we arrived in the following night, there was no record of our booking, there was one. table, but inside. we did it because the reviews were so good. no menu has been brought to us for a long time (we had 2 children offered with us and not even drinks) when the menu was brought, we stayed a long time. we ordered and it was then that the waiter informed us that some menu items were not available. (the menu is very small). so no 'signature' burger, no huh. the waiter suggested to come back on Wednesday, because after a busy weekend they had nothing more (it was Monday). then we decided to go. we didn't want to go back to Wednesday because we thought the service was bad enough. the waiter apologized for our wasted time, but for us it was too late. may not recommend.
We had the pleasure of dinner. Food was amazing. Owner/staff was incredibly friendly, spoke exc long English and patiently explained the menu. Wine selection was excellent. Would return if in the area again.
My order, filet mignon coquillette with risotto was disappointing, not what I expected. Moreover, it was 't very good: macaroni noodles with small slices of roasted pork and chorizo, crushed in a sosty similar to a thousand island dressing. another party had the flat plate that was a bit better. slow service at a busy night. wein was good and cost-effective.
The personal had a really bad attitude, no smile at the whole night. Eating was okay, but nothing special. the craft ipa was very good.
I am trying to justify giving this place 3 stars, but in fairness to those curious to do their research, our experience was below 3, maybe a 2.5. Could be that we ordered the most unpopular items, because everyone else was ordering the steak and...fries. Other than the bone marrow, as starter, which was delicious, everything else was disappointing. My wife had the ceviche -was bland, looked and tasted like it was fresh out of a can with no effort to trick the taste buds (a slice of lemon would 've gone a long way). I ordered the lamb. This dish was a huge pile of chewy, uncooked, cubes of lamb, served cold, on a bed of peas and carrots, as if quantity was the measure for quality here.. I tried, but had no success in getting the server 's attention to have it heated up. I 'll be back one minute was more like one hour, at which point, forget it. I ate the vegetables and returned the inedible chunks of meat. We had the apple tart for desert. Everywhere else we had these warm, but these were the supermarket frozen tarts served cold.
