Bistro L'entrepont - Montréal

My partner and I ordered different dishes so we could sample as much of the menu as possible, and each dish was delicious. The main courses were presented in a visually appealing way, and the homemade Sorbet vodka palate cleanser was a standout. We were so engrossed in enjoying our meal that we forgot to take photos of the dishes as they were served. What started as a last-minute decision for a late meal turned into one of the most romantic and intimate dining experiences of our week-long stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the prices, especially since we were able to bring our own wine. If you have the time in your evening, definitely make a reservation to fully enjoy the cozy atmosphere and come with an empty stomach!

Really a unique experience! Had never been to a restaurant where I felt like I was greeted like an old friend. We were laughing with the waiters the entire evening but they were not overwhelming and everything was in good taste. The food was good and the choice on the menu had something for anyones taste. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a first choice. And to top it off, you can bring your own wine!

I had been at L'entrepont a few times in the past and decided to go back recently. I was disappointed by my experience. The restaurant is small and nice and the food was o.k. at best. I know it's a very difficult business, particularly for a byow place, but I do expect more from a $55 menu. The meat was good and well cooked, but the vegetables that accompanied every plate should be updated: grated raw carrots should be out, one brussel sprout? really? can't you put a few? a tiny piece of zucchini?Service was good. One waiter covered the restaurant, with guests at different parts of their meal and he did a very good job.What killed it for me was how dirty the bathroom was. I will spare details here, but it was nasty. And I remembered a great chef saying "if you want to know how clean the kitchen is, go check the bathrooms... as it's much easier to clean a bathroom than a kitchen". I am sad to say that I will not go back to this restaurant.

The food was amazing, maybe the best meal we have ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and entertaining. Fancy fare without pretentious service. Unique menu that was delicious and beautifully presented. We had the five course meal and it was bring your own wine which a plus for us. Our only criticism would be to jazz up the decor. We will be back!
