Feta cheese tasted like Philadelphia cheese and hummus was tasteless. pita brot was dry. no court to save the other. not terrible.
I had heard about this restaurant and how popular the brunch was, but had never been there. a cold winter day we decided to go with friends for Sunday dinner. what a wonderful experience! they offer the typical Persian family on Sunday evening supper dizzy and. so we all decided to try. this is onkel's speciality and so he comes to explain how to eat it! He is so warm and welcoming that they really feel like they belong. it was funny, interesting and tasty, they must try. also try the chocolate cake and the ice. will definitely return and try brunch.
This is a place that she has brunch a beautiful autumn day in montreal .. delicious oriental food in a beautifully decorated place that was in a friendly residential area .. true the service lasted more time that it should be but the place was full and the team did its best .. only make sure that all their food is eating the old dame responsible for service team is not insulted.
From the middle of montréal is this small restaurant, here for 30 years, about 2 km away a short texu ride to a sweet little quarter. grand mère, which started the place is still the star influence along with its brother and enkel is it a family business and they feel welcome as a family. we came back a few days after the first time and to leave montréal she would have tried her famous Sunday brunch. we had never eaten Iranian food. if this was a symbol of the kitchen it was absolutely delicious. I am sure that this was partly due to old, old recipes that brought grandmother with her. lamb filled the fine aromas of dried fruits, seasoned, tomatoes over long, slow cooking. we had a series of wonderful dips, both warm and cold with beautifully paired ingredients in each, unique in their aromas. the desserts were very traditional and also variations, which have such a capability to know how long to make each shown. also the delicious Cardoman tea was wonderful. 'le dizzy ' à sunday special is one must try.
I have rarely felt as completely cheated as I was eating at Byblos today. Pure thievery. I ordered a #3 breakfast $12.50), which is supposed to consist of feta, halvah, fresh herbs, nuts, and two kinds of bread. I was served : a tablespoon of white,...unripened cheese not feta), four pistachios and three and a half walnuts, a very small handful of coarsely chopped herbs, a couple of tiny pieces of stale sweet bread, a few slices of stale pita, and a thimbleful of halvah. It was a complete joke and a criminal rip-off. Add this the fact that service was chaotic, inconsistent and just plain awful, and you get a typical horrible experience at Byblos. Stay away!
