The service was not attentive. Food is too expensive. I ordered Calamari and the portion size was small and nothing special.
I hadn't visited before, although I wanted to. On this trip it was Thanksgiving weekend and I couldn't make a reservation in another bistro I love. I was able to go to Cafe Cherrier and I am so glad that I!...Service was warm, friendly and professional, the decor charming, the atmosphere fun and casual. I had the delicious “Friends” steak served on a hot plate with bone marrow butter, great frits and delicious, refreshing walnut salad and a very affordable Cote du Rhône to drink. Very recommended and quite reasonable in price.
We had lunch here and it was perhaps the best meal we had so far in our 17-day Quebec trip. It is a quintessential French bistro, similar to a Parisian café. My husband loved his mussels and frits, and my quiche was beautifully done....Very elegant lunch in beautiful surroundings with great service.
First the good news: The interior is beautiful, looks just like a fine restaurant in Paris, just perfect. And the service was friendly and professional. But the food was not good. I could barely eat my tortellini meal, poorly executed. And the wine list is...ridiculously over-priced. So we paid a lot for bad food. Not a good evening.
