Il Bazzali - Montréal

We were perusing the menu to find gluten free items when the waiter and then the chef came outside to ask how they could assist. Seeing how accommodating they were, we decided to give it a try. We were having a lovely evening, and then the chef/owner started to sing. He put it over the top for us. I cannot recommend enough. It is a very small but cozy room, delicious food. Excellent gluten-free pasta too (his own unique recipe) Bring your own wine!

The best little restaurant in Montreal! Combining the talents of an Italian and a French chef. Incredible home made raviolis with a French twist such as ravioli with duck confit and fois gras for example. delicious generous portions. Also Monday- thursdays chef Davide Bazzali performs Opera live while cooking. A cozy, comfortable and refined experience overall. Bravo!

This is by far my favourite restaurant. Food is amazing but it is much more than just food. The staff is extremely quick, polite, kind and are always passing by to see if you need anything. The owner is amazing as well. He comes to greet you at your table and sings an opera song once a night. It truly makes for a fine dining experience.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing but the service needs improvement. I went in 5 year anniversary with my girlfriend and we both ordered a dish . I ended up getting the dish first . By the time my girlfriend received her dish, my dish was done . They offered me a to go box and took both our forks and knife. I had to remind them that we are still waiting on my girlfriends rissoto. I would have given this a 5 star otherwise .The chef was very impressive and I definitely enjoyed that he went table by table to ask about the food. I definitely give this place another chance this rissoto was divine .

The drinks, service, and food were excellent. It was a little disappointing that the chef who sings opera wasn't there that night, as that was the main reason we made a reservation. It might be wise to call ahead to confirm if he will be performing if you are looking for a specific ambiance and entertainment.
