The beef brisket sandwich was average - the meat was tender but the sauce was too sweet and the bottom bun became mushy from the excessive sauce. The fries had small pieces and the coleslaw lacked dressing, only consisting of shredded cabbage. The table water was served lukewarm without ice. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
My visit to Le Boucan was a while back, but I remember the delicious food and generous portion sizes. We enjoyed dishes such as Pulled Pork Poutine, Smoked Back Ribs, Macaroni with Cheese, and the 5 Napkins Burger. The staff was friendly and attentive, although the service was a bit slow. The restaurant is on the smaller side and can feel cramped when busy, but overall, we had a positive experience.
If you're into spicy food, this is THE spot. Their Scoville veggie burger is top notch! A burger that was actually spicy!
The service at this restaurant is friendly, however, the food falls short in comparison to other smokehouse BBQ places we have tried. In fact, we found it to be unpleasant and ended up throwing it away. The chicken sandwich was dry and lacking in seasoning, while the fries were overcooked, thin, and sour. The coleslaw was under-seasoned and overly sweet, and the poutine sauce with pulled pork was also overly sweet. The mac and cheese was the only decent dish, but it was cold and lacking in bacon. Overall, despite the friendly staff, we were disappointed in the food and do not plan on ordering from this restaurant again.
Good spot for some comfort food. The meats tasted good, maybe a bit too much sauce on them. Would have liked to taste the meat better. The sides were ok, nothing fancy, since the center piece are the smoked meats of course. We were 4 and shared three plates. Didn’t dare try the bacon brownie for dessert, though!Vegetarian options: Not many
