The location and interior are beautiful and stylish, with lots of plants and natural light. We stopped by on a weekday morning and received quick and delightful service. It's a short, convenient walk from many of the attractions in Old Montreal. The caramel lattes were excellent, and the bacon and cheese croissant sandwich was delicious and unique. We also loved the baked goods and found the café and bathrooms (located in the same building) to be very clean.
I come here all of the time and switch up my sandwich choice...and I am never disappointed. This is the only place where I never substitute the ingredients because I have learned that they have an incredible palette. Every single one of them works. They know I like spicy and they always suggest it for me...and sometimes I still add sriracha, even if they tell me there are a enough jalapenos...my personal choice. Always excellent !
Absolutely amazing! The customer service was top-notch. On our final day of our trip, my group of five girls decided to stop here for a special treat. We were provided with detailed descriptions of all the menu items. The cakes were carefully packaged for our journey, ensuring they would stay fresh. A fellow customer raved about the chocolate croissant, claiming it was even better than the ones he had in France. The pistachio macaron was the most delicious I've ever tasted. I only wish I had taken pictures to remember it by. This was truly the perfect way to end our trip.
We asked the hotel concierge for a recommendation for a bakery or pastry shop to satisfy our late-night cravings. He pointed us to Les Moulins la Fayette, just a few blocks away. This bakery has a wonderful atmosphere and offers a variety of breads, pastries, and sandwiches for lunch. The manager was very helpful and friendly. We purchased three pastries for our midnight snack: a “Royal Palace”, an “Opera”, and a “Thousand Sheets”. All three were delicious and disappeared quickly. Les Moulins la Fayette is definitely a must-visit in Montreal.
I finally got the chance to pop in for a late lunch. I ordered the lunch box which was 16$. For a sandwich I choose the apple walnut prosciutto sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The walnuts were caramelized, the sweetness from the apple countered the walnuts perfect with the saltiness of the prosciutto. The sandwich had a good amount of prosciutto slices, apples slices and a handful of walnuts. Really made me think of fall! The lunch box also came with 2 side salads one a regular salad with Wagyu sauce and another kale salad. Both salads weren't great I could have done without them. I also ordered a chocolate caramel mousse dessert (5$ . It was way too sweet I could barely eat it. Overall, nice place for an afternoon coffee and pastry, good place for a sandwich a little pricey for what it is. But I would go again for their sandwiches and pastries.
