Unfortunately the hostess was extremely rude and upset about this even though the restaurant was completely empty the whole time we were there. When seated the older gentleman forgot one of our cutlery rolls and instead of walking to our table he tossed it onto our table which we found aggressive and uncomfortable for a fancy restaurant. We then were served carbonated water which we thought was complimentary because it was just given to us without asking which costed over 8$. After dealing with the poor service and long wait times just for cocktails that were bad we chose to leave before ordering any food. After ordering two gross small cocktails the waters it set us back 47$. If I’m going to pay for a fine dining experience I don’t want to be treated like a garbage. Would not recommend this place there are many other fine dining restaurants in old port that treat their costumers way better!
Terrible experience. Our host was very rude, and our service was very slow in an empty restaurant. No other customers, yet we watched and waited as the servers stood around and gossiped with each other instead of approaching us after being seated. Also watched our host throw hissy fits right in front of us towards the other servers because a table wasn’t set properly. Our drinks were very strong and gross as well. All around bad experience.
Lovely casual spot with French atmosphere and songs. We had salad Niçoise and French onion soup which were both fantastic, the best we'd had in a long time. The tuna on the salad was fresh and expertly cooked. Service was very fast, efficient, and friendly. We'll be back.
What ambiance! Every couple feet, there's a pothos hanging from a basket or a cauldron. Interspersed with ceiling fans and wrought iron chandeliers. Wood beams against a white ceiling. French love songs I think (like I'd expect to hear on a gondola) and toe tapping folk music. My waiter was just as charming, with a kitchen staff working their magic behind the scenes. Between them they found a gluten free option for me and volunteered to clean the kitchen before starting it. It was a laid back afternoon meal accompanied by 3 glasses of sparkling cider. Just what I needed after 2 weeks of travel. Merci.
Cute French cafe/lunch spot in old mtl. Has a beautiful atmosphere (plants all over with some French flair . Food is good, I would recommend the French onion soup I just wish it was a bit bigger :
