Pho' X. O - Montréal

We had two starters, both very nice. The Grilled Chicken Spring Roll was pretty nice and the Fried Wontons were also good. Served with delicate sauces. Both our main dishes were very tasty: Ginger Chicken with rice and Vermicelli with Beef and Pork. Not top cuisine, but for the price it was a really good deal. Really a nice restaurant with an unbeateable modern and stylish touch. Can't find another one like this in Chinatown Montreal. We didn't drink the wine, but it seemed a correct winelist to me. Fair prices too. The service is somewhat special, but friendly :-)

I honestly chose this restaurant in Chinatown because of the lovely modern decor. The restaurant looks like it belongs in another area of town. The food was totally average but fresh. The prices are a couple of dollars higher than the other Pho Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown, but the decor is worth it. Menu is not very big, service was also average.

The atmosphere is great, until you try to get your waiter's attention (and we visited after lunch hours, there were hardly any people there). The food was subpar, especially given the number of other good restaurants in the area. The flavors were off, and it didn't taste as fresh as I expect from Vietnamese cuisine.

We went back to chinatown to have pho for dinner. We've been to Vietnam and eat Pho at least weekly, sometimes daily. I had the roasted chicken pho and my friend had the well cooked beef pho. Big mistake for her. She couldn't eat the beef as it was seriously fatty. Mine was good in the mode of chinese noodle soup. I liked mine, she hated hers.It's a very sophisticated room and feels great to be there.

Wife, our 2yr old and I had a wonderful pre-game dinner here. We were greeted with a nice warm tea as we sat down. The waiter helped us pick a few new dishes to try and were treated really well.The chicken mango salad was very fresh, flavourful and had a nice spicey kick to it. The shrimp spring rolls were also enjoyable. We also had a chicken vermicelli which our son devoured and enjoyed. The grilled, shrimp, chicken and steak on rice was OK. The staff were very attendtive, food was fresh and hot. We had 4 dishes/appetizers and was $37 so we thought it was quite reasonable.
