Poke Ryu - Montréal

We had an incredible experience here and really enjoyed our meal. There are good vegetarian items on the menu, and the tuna was exceptional. The desserts were delightful and the sake menu was extensive and high quality. The interior is unique and intimate, would be a great date spot!

Quality of the fish was amazing. Recommend the crab rolls for appetizers. Cocktails were creative and delicious. And above all, the service was amazing. They were able to accommodate us for a late reservation. Ambience was on point.

Our highly anticipated Omakase experience at RYU, a Japanese restaurant known for its upscale dining, turned into a night of disappointment and frustration. Despite the restaurant's reputation and the hefty price tag of $150 per person for the Omakase, we encountered flies on our food and were taken aback by additional charges for basic condiments, leaving us with a hefty bill of $400. When we expressed our concerns to the management, they apologized for the flies but offered little in the way of resolution for the additional charges. Their response was disheartening, as it demonstrated a lack of understanding and accountability for the flaws in their service. We cannot recommend RYU as a worthy destination for a premium dining experience.

Good sushi... we had a good time. The only issue I had was that the hot sake I ordered (I LOVE hot sake) was not warm enough though it was very smooth. The rolls were excellent and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

I’ve been waiting forever to visit Ryu, especially this specific location. Food came on time and was delicious however service was very odd…my group of 3 were warned to leave even before meeting a 2 hour mark (we ordered pretty big too) we were on time for our reservation. Ignored that since we were almost done with the food. The waiter was ready to take my plate away even though there was a very obvious amount of food left on my plate. Ignored it too but for the third time the the staff was fidgeting on our table changing nothing about it hinting us to leave. We weren’t even offered to look at desserts……
